Bill Best Named President of DMD Joint Venture
The DMD, LLC Board of Managers is pleased to announce Mr. Bill Best has been named DMD President. Mr. Best will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all DMD business which focuses on Space and Missile Defense Programs through the Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance Contract with the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/U.S. Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT) and includes customers such as USASMDC/ARSTRAT, MDA, PEO Missiles and Space, and other Government Agencies involved in air, space, and missile defense.
DMD Board Chairman Mike Stanfield said, "Mr. Best is a strategic addition in our efforts to enhance DMD's role as a premier provider of Space and Missile Defense support to our customers. Mr. Best previously served as the Program Manager of the $100 million/year Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Program support contract with over 50 subcontractors and 400 full time personnel."
Mr. Best brings 15 years of expertise in organizational structuring, risk management, leadership and strategic planning for government contracts focusing on space and missile defense issues.
Mr. Best is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in Business Administration.
