DMD Signs SETAC 07 Contract to Support SMDC / ARSTRAT

On 6 December 2007, DMD, L.L.C. signed the Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance Contract (SETAC), a five-year prime contract with the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command / U.S. Army Forces Strategic Command (SMDC / ARSTRAT). DMD was one of three small business teams selected for the award. SETAC has a combined award contract ceiling value of $247.5 million. This contract enables DMD to support SMDC / ARSTRAT, the Program Executive Office for Air, Space, and Missile Defense, and other Government agencies that conduct business in air, space, and missile defense.

In addition to the DMD Joint Venture partners — Dynetics, Millennium Engineering and Integration Company, and Davidson Technologies — the team currently consists of 69 other subcontractors that actively support Government agencies in missile defense-related work. The DMD prime contract offers the Government the ability to reach our teammates using a single contract vehicle.

The DMD Team brings broad-based technological expertise, significant depth, and proven experience in technologies and phenomenology relevant to air, space, and missile defense customers' needs. The DMD Team consists of high-quality companies—large, small, disadvantaged, woman-owned, veteran-owned, service disabled, and AbilityOne businesses such as Phoenix Rehabilitation Services and Alabama Industries for the Blind that have proven track records. We have added several leading educational institutions and not for profit entities to provide customers with unique expertise and access to leading-edge research.

In addition to the three joint venture partners, DMD will use the entire team, particularly companies with both international and local Huntsville business presence such as BAE, Camber, COLSA, CSC, EDO/CAS, Quantum, and Sparta.
